4. January 14,1907 Hitler's mother (Klara) died of cancer, Adolf was only 18 when his mother died, Hitler was very saddened by this. (some people say that Hitler died with a picture of her in his pocket) Go back

5. 1921 1921, the year that Hitler was elected to be the leader of the Nazi party. Nazi was a political party that was actually named, national socialist German workers party, but nicknamed Nazi. This party believed in equal rights only for Germans not for Jews or immigrants. Go back

6. April1924 Hitler is sentenced to five years in prison for trying to take over the German government, the court ruled guilty for treason. While he was away he dictated his autobiography of political ideas called “Mein Kampf” to Rudolph Hess. Go back

7. 1933 The Jewish holocaust stars and the Nazis eliminate Jews starting in eastern Europe. The Nazis had many concentration camps wear they would take Jews and brutally kill them. They killed Jews in many different ways, during the holocaust more than 6 million Jews were killed before the holocaust ended in 1945. Go back

8. August 2,1934 Hitler enters an election for leadership of the country, he got lots of fans by vowing to fight for communism. He won and got the title of fuhrer (fuhrer, also spelled fuehrer, in both English and German means leader or guide, but today the word is usually referring to Adolf) Go back

9. December 11, 1941 Just four days after japan bombs pearl harbor Hitler declares war on America. Hitler didn’t have an agreement with japan but he liked that he was the center of the biggest war the world had seen. Go back

10. July 20, 1944 Hitler survived an assassination attempt due to a quick change In location. The meeting where the attempt took place was supposed to be in an under ground bunker, but the location was changed to the headquarters. The assassination would have worked if it was in the bunker, but since not he got away with lots of splinters in his legs and some of his lower torso. Go back

11. March 19, 1945 Hitler was upset at the defeat and thought that Germany didn’t deserve to survive, because of this he cut of all of the highways, train tracks, and other important parts of the country. Go back
