3 Purpose of Portfolios Portfolios are effective tools for documenting and assessing student achievement and teachers are using professional portfolios to document professional practices, competencies and accomplishments.

4 Portfolio Workshop Key Terms Developmental Portfolio-Provides a way for you to organize and store documentation that represents the progression of your developmental skills as an educator. Florida Educators Accomplished Practices- Professional experiences and activities related to teaching practices and competencies. Florida has identified three levels of mastery (Pre-professional, Professional and Accomplished). http://www.fldoe.org/dpe/publications/preprofessional4-99.pdf Evidence Sheet- TCP provided form which lists specifically what the evidence is that you are submitting for approval. (i.e. reflections) Rubric- An assessment tool for communicating expectations of quality. 5 What Will I Need? Supplies and Equipment 1)2 inch, 3-ring binder with plastic show covers on the front and back 2)13 notebook dividers with tabs 3)1 box of heavy-weight sheet protectors 4)Printer Paper 5)Computer and printer

6 Section 1 - Teacher Profile Resume Letter of Intent Teaching Philosophy Temporary Certification (If acclicable) Status of Statement of Eligibility Transcripts FTCE Score Report Letters of recognition, accolades or certifications The Teacher Profile is the first part of the Developmental Portfolio. This is the information that relates to you personally as an educator.

7 Section 2 - FEAPs FEAPs -Use FEAP Index (Provided). Rubrics Evidence Sheets Artifacts EAP#1 - Assessment EAP#2 - Communication EAP#3 - Continuous Improvement EAP#4 – Critical Improvement EAP#5 – Diversity EAP#6 – Ethics EAP#7 - Human Development and Learning EAP#8 – Knowledge of Subject Matter EAP#9 – Learning Environment EAP#10 – Planning EAP#11 – Role of the Teacher EAP#12 - Technology

8 Section 3 - Reading Section Duplicate copies of your EPI0010 Rubrics, Evidence Sheets and Artifacts. Add them to an additional section labeled “Reading Section."

9 Exit Interview Submission Organized by FEAP using labeled tabs Submitted to Program Director prior to Exit Interview Copies of Field Experience Logs, Rubrics & Evidence Sheets must be provided
