3 Sunnis vs Shi’a Sunnis vs Shi’a – Sunnis make up 85% of Muslims. – Most Shi’as live in Iran and Iraq. – Shi’as believe that ONLY Muhammad’s descendants should lead Islam – Shi’as tend to be more conservative and strict in the teachings of Islam – Shi’as tend to support Jihad (holy war) to spread Islam
