2 With an attendance of professionals, among which are national and international, FRANCAL 2011 closed its 43rd edition maintaining its position of the Brazil´s most important show for the SPRING-SUMMER business season. More than 1,000 exhibitors representing 3,000 brands presented the innovations of the longest and most profitable season of the year for thousands of retailers and professionals. According to the president of FRANCAL, Abdala Jamil Abdala, the fair reached its objective as business generator through its high qualified attendance, We received retailers from all Brazilian States and buyers from 66 countries. The fair represents more than 4 months of the industry production Following the comments of Milton Cardoso, president of the Brazilian Footwear Industry Association, the consume is increasing and achieved four pairs/year in the domestic market. We hope a growth of 10% for 2011 and we preview a consume of five pairs/year until 2014.

International Buyer Project : organized by ABICALÇADOS and supported by APEX – Brazilian Export Promotion Agency, the project brings importer and press from more than 20 countries with all expenses covered. Fashion and Marketing Forum - this seminar was developed to fulfill the demand of retailers for trends information. Around 1,000 retailers and designers participate in the Forum interested in getting all information for Summer Spring Collection for the next year.
