Matthew Brower James Clover Abhi Gandhi Jackson Widell THE GREAT GANDHIS PRESENT LADY GAGA EGN 1935 ECE ADVENTURES SPRING 2014

 Year: Freshman  Major: Mechanical Engineering  I learned that I need to join a lab to further my engineering skills.  The course made me want to look into joining a lab at UF.  I would like graduate with my degree and work with competition robots.  I would like to have a career working hands-on with innovative technology.  “Pay attention in class, kiddies.” MATTHEW BROWER

 Year: Freshman  Major: Chemical Engineering  I learned that I practical experience is critical for understanding engineering concepts.  The course made me consider taking more electronics courses.  I would like to be able to look back and say I enjoyed college and did well.  I would like to have a career that makes me get out of bed in the morning.  “Robots aren’t like you expect. They never work just how you planned, so be patient.” JAMES CLOVER

 Year: Sophomore  Major: Mechanical and Aerospace  I learned a lot about robotics and circuitry from this class  The course made me want to look into robotics as a possible future  I would like to graduate from UF with enough knowledge to get a good career and have fun with my work.  I would like to have a career that I enjoy and that I can wake up every day looking forward to.  “Robots are like kids, you have to teach them everything. Remember that.” ABHI GANDHI

 Year: Freshman  Major: Mechanical Engineering  I learned a lot about how electronics work from the class  The course made me want to build autonomous robots.  I would like to graduate from UF with at least a 3.5 GPA.  I would like to have a career where I can make fat stacks (6 figures).  “Go to lab; it’s fun and informative.” JACKSON WIDELL

Lady Gaga was stranded in L.A. and had no idea how to get to her next concert (it involves a lot of drugs, a rampaging gorilla, and a Cuban hit squad; she’d prefer not to talk about it.) Lucky her, after stumbling around downtown L.A. for three hours, she hears a faint cheer. Could it be? That’s right kiddos, it’s the sound of the fans. The only problem? There’s a maze of alleyways standing in her way, and she knows what the L.A. homeless are like. But that’s no problem for Lady Gaga. She takes a deep breath, straightens her meat dress, and charges into it. THE ADVENTURES OF LADY GAGA

But it takes more than that to defeat our hero! Eventually, she crawls out of the shadows, smelling like your Grandma’s fish tacos and looking even worse. But not even that can get Lady Gaga down (although the same can’t really be said about everyone who has to smell that). She finally made it, and bursts into song knowing that she finally gets the chance to please all her adoring fans. After all, they’re the ones who really matter, right? Ah, who are we kidding…she’s just excited because she’s making a cool five mill off this show. THE ADVENTURES OF LADY GAGA CONT.

After moths spent working with these robots, we realized that robots are just machines. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t amazing. When we got ahold of her, Lady Gaga was nothing more than a bunch of wiring hooked up to some sensors and motors. But with the help of real people (even Freshmen and Sophomores) she turned into much more. This course showed us just how important electronics and robotics are, and the massive potential that the fields have. Most of the things in this room wouldn’t exist without one of the two, and we’re only giving this presentation because of them. OUR CONCLUSIONS

That being said, if you were to take this course in the future, keep that in mind. Sure, the class isn’t designed to be difficult, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay attention. You never know what is going to happen in your future, and this class might make you fall in love with something you’d never thought about before. The course is a great way to introduce yourself to electrical engineering, and the more you put into it the more you’ll get out. So pay attention, do your best, and above all, win the scholarships. Nah, just kidding. Have fun with it! OUR CONCLUSIONS CONT.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER EVERYBODY !
