1 st Semester Freshman Before this semester, I was considering a major in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, Journalism and Aerospace Engineering. I never even thought about Electrical Engineering. After taking this course, I discovered that Electrical Engineering can be a lot more fun that I ever expected. Now I have narrowed my field of study to either Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering. Biography of Aliasger (Ali) Ezzi

To help me decide, I hope to get involved with some of the projects, such as SubjuGator. In the future, I hope to be able to pursue both of my interests (Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering) both at UF and after I graduate. My advice to incoming freshman, or anyone taking this class in the near future, is that you put your whole heart into the project. To get an A, all you have to do is show up, but only you determine how much you get out of the class. Biography of Aliasger (Ali) Ezzi (continued)

1 st Semester Freshman Electrical Engineering major I have learned a lot of introductory information about the basics of Electrical and Computer Engineering (such as motors and circuits) from this class. This class will help me understand certain engineering concepts more easily in the future because I gained a basic understanding of many topics from lectures and labs. I plan to be involved in multiple projects and clubs at UF and I hope to graduate with honors from the College of Engineering. Biography of Alexandra Munoz

My goal is to one day start my own company after working as an engineer and creating something incredible. I also hope to one day be successful enough that Dr. Arroyo and Dr. Schwartz mention me and my accomplishments to the future students of this class. My advice for future students is to pay attention in these classes and labs because students can learn a lot and have fun. Biography of Alexandra Munoz (continued)

1 st Semester Freshman Exploratory Engineering I learned about how Electrical Engineering and Engineering as a whole can be fun and interesting. This course has encouraged me to stick with engineering as a major. Biography of Tom Perry

At UF, I want to graduate with a good GPA and decide what field of engineering I want to pursue. I do not know what I want to do after college. I am still not sure of my major. Do not wait until the last day of Thanksgiving break to do your assignments. Biography of Tom Perry (continued)

1 st Semester Freshman Mechanical Engineering major This class has helped me make my decision to switch my major to Electrical Engineering next semester. I have learned about a lot of different electrical components, such as sensors and capacitors. I have also had an introduction to computer programming. This course will definitely help with different clubs and classes later on that will require electrical or computer engineering. Biography of Cristo Silva

I plan on graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a lot of internships and clubs under my belt in order to get a successful job later on. I plan on owning a company after a few years of being in another successful company and inventing something that most people in the world will commonly use. For whoever takes this class next, make sure you take everything you can out of this class because you can learn a lot and it will definitely help for the future. Biography of Cristo Silva (continued)

1 st Semester Freshman Aerospace Engineering This course really has given me insight into what it really feels like to be an engineer and to work hands-on with problems that require critical thinking and a bit of creativity. The confidence I gained from this class in working in this field is almost priceless. I feel that this course really set in stone my interests in an engineering profession and I feel that in the future I want to get involved with more classes and projects similar to this one. Biography of Dylan White

My goals for UF really are just to gain experience in the field of engineering and I think this class really did a good job at that. Career plans include (hopefully) working on extraterrestrial projects such as Mars landings and beyond. I have some interest in AI as well, so it would be cool to develop a HAL 9000 to assist the astronauts on their journey. A word of advice: When Dr. Arroyo gets that crazy look in his eyes, be prepared to get some serious knowledge dropped on you. Biography of Dylan White (continued)
