Team: CrimiNOLES Robot: Jameis Fall 2014 Team Members Lloyd Verdeflor Jacob Mellinger Chandler Walker
Lloyd Verdeflor ●1st semester Freshman ●Major: Biomedical Engineering ●EGN 1935 taught me how to use a multimeter and gave me a basic understanding of circuits ●This course encouraged me to get involved on campus
Lloyd Verdeflor(cont’d) ●My plan is to get my BME Degree and find a good job at a big company ●I would encourage new students to go out and make new friends and get involved on campus!
Jacob Mellinger ●1st Semester Freshman ●Major: Exploratory Engineering ○Now considering Computer Science ●The course taught me how to enjoy programming and the challenge it presents ●This class has given me the background that will be necessary in my future studies
Jacob Mellinger (cont’d) ●ECE (Ad)ventures had encouraged me to join more clubs in my time at UF ●I am unsure of my career plans as of right now but I am now considering Computer Science ●To the next students I would say, what you get out of your classes is what you put into them!
Chandler Walker ●1st Semester FreshmanElectrical Engineering ●ECE (Ad)ventures taught me the importance of collaboration between engineers ●The course has encouraged me to try to get more involved with other engineers on campus
Chandler Walker (cont’d) ●I plan to graduate with Electrical and Computer Engineering Degrees and work with companies like Intel or NVIDIA ●I would encourage any student interested in an ECE degree to take this class and work as hard as you can to achieve your goals
Jameis's Story ●Young Jameis found trading his Heisman trophy for crab legs would not do. He really, really wanted crab legs. He found that he could use his Heisman speed to escape the authorities (a few times) but was eventually apprehended. A FISHER-man did come to his aid and got the charges dropped so he could play football for food.
Conclusion ●This course has taught us more than just about basics of circuits and robotics. It taught us the importance of getting involved and how to work well with others. We learned that there is more to engineering than just making a good design. To be a good engineer you have be willing to work well with others and also have the confidence to share your ideas with others.
