2 What is STIMULATE 8? 1.Scientific and technological tools for efficient management of information organization: Library management software Web page design (HTML and XML) Statistics, bibliometrics, network & graph theories, citation analysis Database design and management Institutional repositories Digital libraries 2.Active training environment

3 Weak Points of the Organization of the Program Weak Points: 1.Unclear expectations regarding laptop’s technical specifications, cultural aspects (wearing of national costume), etc. 2.Schedule of lectures on series of related topics are spaced out and far in between; there is no continuity in the discussion of related lessons. Recommendations: Clear instruction regarding the technical specifications of laptop (required RAM, hard disk space, etc.), expectation on the wearing of national costume, etc. Related topics be scheduled in a continuous series and lecture free days be given only after the discussion of that topic has been completed.

4 Strong Points of the Organization of the Program 1.The lecturers are all subject specialists and experts in the field. 2.Library visits are well planned and well coordinated; the library staff are friendly and accommodating in entertaining the participants’ inquiries regarding unclear aspects of their libraries.
