5 Introduction PowerPoint helps you create, edit, and manipulate professional-looking slides that you can use to facilitate meetings, supplement classroom learning, and share information using a wide variety of media including graphics, pictures, and audio and video clips. 5 5

16 Changing the Slide View
PowerPoint offers four different ways to view a presentation. Normal view is the default view. Slide Sorter view gives you an overall picture of your presentation and enables you to rearrange the order of the slides easily. Notes Pages view lets you edit your notes and see how the notes will appear when printed. Slide Show view fills the whole screen. You use this view when you present the show to your audience. 16 16

You can change the view by clicking the buttons in the Presentation Views group on the View tab. You can change the magnification of the content on the screen by using the Zoom button in the Zoom group on the View tab, or by using the zoom controls in the status bar. 17 17

As you enter text, PowerPoint automatically checks for misspelled words. The AutoCorrect feature automatically corrects common spelling errors. The Notes pane provides a place for you to write speaker notes, which you can use to provide reminders about information you want to emphasize. 24 24
