2 What is a brand? A successful brand is a promise fulfilled.

3 Redefine your brand Is your brand aligned with market changes? Ask your stakeholders if your brand is fit for purpose Even simple changes such as tweaking key messages can make a big difference

4 Test your brand No substitute for talking to your market Aim for breadth (e.g. online surveys) and depth (e.g. 1:1 interviews) Ask opinion leaders for advice over a coffee

5 Review your branded materials Check random sample of online and offline materials How do they appear on a PC/tablet/mobile screen? Which materials need to work hardest for you?

6 Keep everyone on board with your brand Never get complacent about your brand Do a regular internal brand review Are people using the brand guidelines?

7 Remember that your brand is social Thanks to social, all your staff are now brand ambassadors Everyone owns the brand Do you have a good social media policy?
