Atrium Core Themes Release Themes Significantly improve time to value of Atrium products Deliver proactive risk management capabilities Lead the market with innovative CMDB capabilities Become the leader in managing virtual environments Some of the key drivers for this release of Atrium Core are: improving the time it takes for a customer to see value out of their investment, enhancing usability for multiple client organizations (tenants), deliver impact analysis of business services, being first to market with innovative CMDB capabilities and Becoming the standard platform for managing customers virtual environmenets. © Copyright 2009, BMC Software, Inc.

19 Atrium Core 7.5 – Not just a CMDB anymore
View and modify classes in data model Set up federated data, which is stored outside BMC Atrium CMDB and linked from CIs View information about the CIs and relationships in BMC Atrium CMDB Determine the impact a change to a CI will have on other CIs. Run simulations without affecting the production dataset. Ensure that product names and categorization are consistent across different datasets and from different data providers View and create product dictionary entries and configure the Configuration Management database to access the DHL and DML within the BMC Remedy AR System environment Reconcile CI and relationship instance data from multiple datasets into a single instance in the production dataset. As seen previously, Atrium Core is not just a CMDB any more. There are multiple components and each component of Atrium Core has either been developed from scratch or updated for this version of Atrium Core. The components of Atrium Core are as follows: (Use Slide) Transfer data between external databases and AR System applications or between external databases and BMC Atrium CMDB Define a common list of services, document policies, costs, and terms associated with services; rationalize data across IT processes based on a business context © Copyright 2009, BMC Software, Inc.
