1 Integrated gateway-server for entry-level system monitoring
PowerLogic EGX300 Integrated gateway-server for entry-level system monitoring

2 Outline Two parts for training Sales/Market Information
Product Information

3 Sales/Marketing Information Part I

4 Entry Range Monitoring – Why?
Not every customer needs ION Enterprise or EEM Some just want the basics Keep it simple Not every sales person can sell a full function power monitoring system Requires a lot of training Long sales cycle Use entry range monitoring as a way to boost power meter sales

5 EGX300 An Integrated Gateway-server? What’s that? Let’s see…..

6 PowerLogic EGX300 Integrated gateway-server
Use your existing Ethernet network to access basic electrical system data View data with only a web browser, no power monitoring software needed Log data onboard the EGX300 for historical system analysis View device data through a simple browser – no software needed EGX300 web page Trend plots Data log files EGX100 EGX300 Pull information into web pages from other PowerLogic gateways (PM8ECC, EGX100) ION 6200 PM800 Micrologic Sepam

7 Benefits Get a view of your complete electrical system including:
Meters Circuit breaker control units Protective relays Motor controllers Drives Operating on an existing Ethernet network, the PowerLogic EGX300: Accesses multiple Ethernet devices and gateways across the network and logs data from connected devices Simple Ethernet connection with minimal configuration required Offers high performance and reliable communication Helps lower installation costs Provides easy system expansion: Dynamic device additions Is compliant with industry standards (UL, CSA, FCC, CE)

8 Benefits View real time data using only a web browser
Analyse basic data from your electrical distribution system for cost allocation and trending reports Use the embedded web page creation tool to customise your system data views and add additional devices Detect serial devices with device Autodiscovery tool

9 Benefits Functions as a gateway from Ethernet to serial line devices
Connects up to 64 devices per gateway Offers field upgradeable firmware Features Modbus TCP/IP address filtering Features 512 Mb for onboard data logging Workstations Modbus TCP Web browser PLC Master Example: PLC allowed access One workstation not allowed access Level of access configurable for read-only or full access Modbus TCP/IP Filtering Feature controls access to critical devices Modbus serial line critical control devices

13 EGX300 and EGX400 Expected Sell Gate: March 2009
The EGX300 will replace the EGX400 Expected to have a lower CCV, but sell for similar market price Easier to set up - no additional web page programming software needed for standard web pages Same foot print as EGX100 Power over Ethernet control power option for easy installation But the EGX400 has 2 serial ports and has both fiber & copper Ethernet connections The EGX300 can connect to devices via Ethernet and via other gateways, which the EGX400 can not An EGX300 + an EGX100 should have about the same cost, or lower, than an EGX400 Very few customers actually bring fiber to the devices or gateways, but if needed, third party adapters are available

14 Product Information Part II

15 Minimum System Requirements
Although there is NO need to install any software, the computer accessing EGX300 will need to have a browser installed. We support: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher

20 Transparent Ready {TRe}
Embedded web server provides real-time tabular data views for all supported device types Single Device Basic Readings Summary Device Views Circuit Summary Load Current Summary Demand Current Summary Power Summary Energy Summary Advanced users can create custom web views

21 TRe: Setup Ethernet & TCP/IP Serial Port Remote Device Connections
Device List Device Logging Device Log Export Date and Time SNMP Parameters Modbus TCP/IP Filtering Documentation Links User Accounts Web Page Access Preferences

22 TRe: Setup => Auto Discovery
EGX300 features the ability to “Auto Discover” devices in its daisy chain The EGX300 will not find remote devices; the user will need to define a locate address and remote address Look under the device list and scroll to the bottom of the page The user needs to setup the right baud rate and settings for this ability to work. Press to Discover

23 TRe: Setup => Data Export
Users have three options Disable Export via FTP Export via Users will have to setup logging first before choosing either option of FTP or Uses can now only send “incremental” data versus ALL data with the EGX400

24 TRe: Monitor => Single Device Page
The EGX300 has the ability to display real time readings from devices. The devices can be selected individually All data displayed has been scaled and set at factory Any unique requests will have to be done as a custom page

25 TRe: Monitor => Summary Pages
Summary Pages are standard with TRe level 2 support. Users can select ALL or individual pages to be displayed the summary pages. Pages to be displayed: Circuit Summary Load Current Demand Current Power Energy

26 TRe: Monitoring => Logging
Embedded web server provides user selectable topics per device Provides logging function to store data from serial devices on 5, 15, 30, or 60 minute intervals Stores up to 152 days (60 minute interval) of recorded readings for up to 32 connected serial devices Embedded web server provides a graphical view of stored data logs Provides Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to stored device data logs on user defined intervals Provides File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server to access device data logs Provides File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client to send device data logs

27 Logging File: Example of CSV

28 Monitor: Trend Plots through logging

29 TRe: Monitoring => Custom Pages
EGX300 will allow users to transfer their own custom pages Custom pages will allow users to have the flexibility to create their own custom solution

30 TRe: Documentation As part of TRe, users can transfer documentation or create documentation links Users can store up to 512 Mb The documentation can link to other devices that have web server capabilities

31 Control On the Control page, users can reset the values of their individual devices.

32 Diagnostic Users can: Look at stats for the EGX300
Read devices on this page Check Communication Connection The stats information will be used by design and tech support to analyze the system situation

33 Diagnostic: Accumulative Connections
Users can click accumulative connections and displayed previous connections This is valuable in terms of security to keep track of users who have logged on before.

34 Maintenance Log EGX300 provides the ability to record maintenance log files. Typical users can record simple text information about system or challenges.

35 Advance Features: Remote Connection
Under Remote Device Connection, users can setup logging remotely and access devices remotely

36 Custom Logo Logo Users can customize splash screen, logo, color, and favicon Please refer to the white paper for detail specifications This will allow Integrators to add more value for their services Splash Screen
