2 What is Bacteria? Bacteria are a very large group of microorganisms, that is made up of one of the three living organisms( consisting of Archaea and Eukaryota). They are capable of multiplying by themselves as they have the power to divide. Their shape changes, and doctors use this to separate them into groups. Bacteria exist everywhere, most of them are completely harmless but many can cause diseases.

3 Where do bacteria grow? Bacteria like to live in different environments, some bacteria like to live in hot climates like hydrothermal vents. Some bacteria like to live in cold places like cold water of soil. There are also some different places where bacteria enjoy like acidic places and salt water.

6 How to stay healthy from bacteria If you want to stay healthy from bacteria, here are things you can do… Wash Hands Don’t touch your eyes or mouth Cover your mouth with your hand or elbow when you sneeze to prevent people from getting stick Avoid big crowds of people that are sick Get plenty of sleep Exercise outside in the fresh air Drink lot’s of fluids to flush out your system Eat and drink lot’s of vitamins

7 Extra Facts Your skin has about 100,000 bacteria per square cm. Bacteria can come in different shapes and sizes but the basic bacterial cells are “spheres”, “rods, and “spirals”. Bacteria can enter your body by your nose/mouth through just breathing. Bacteria can also be ingested through your mouth by eating. They can enter through cuts or bites in the skin. They can also enter your body my touching something.
