3 C.A.S. is Experiential Education i.e. Learning from Experience. CAS aims at developing the personality of the students helping them become MORE active, compassionate and aware citizens than they would have been otherwise. Learning has occurred only if there is an improvement. Learning from experience is only possible THROUGH ASSOCIATED ONGOING REFLECTION GUIDED

4 CAS must not be self-taught!!! Ongoing Reflection: Before: Setting Goals During: Monitoring, Assessing After: Evaluation, Improvement Guided Reflection: CAS Coordinator IB Coordinator and Members of Staff External Supervisors and Experts

5 Why are you doing CAS To develop a sense of tolerance, value and respect towards others. Take responsibility for your behavior, develop your talent in sport and the arts. Understand the notion of fellowship, charity and community service, learning the importance of mental and physical health, and being sensitive to the environment. An international education must be involved in the development of young person’s attitude and moral values. Serving the community (local, national, and international) is a must for intellectual development and social awareness. Young people of today are going to be the authorities of tomorrow. You must deserve your position in the future. Creativity and action are two important features, which a leader of the, future should have. CAS will develop in you a spirit of discovery, modesty, self-confidence and self-reliance; it will encourage new skills and interests, and will inspire a sense of responsibility towards people everywhere.
