It is illegal to “read, write or send” a text while operating a vehicle.
It is not illegal to use a cell phone or a radio.
Some agencies have rules against cell phone use.
Other agencies depend on cell phones to communicate with their drivers.
Dilemma: dependency vs. distraction
Send in your procedures and we will try to get some guidelines out to everyone.
