7 Let’s start creating a questionnaire! Choose NEW! Find the MORE menu point! Click on the GOOGLE FORMS!

9 Let’s give a title to our questionnaire! The first line is the questionnaire title. We can provide the motiviating introduction in the second line (Form Description). Please write: ”As a student at the University of Bremen, I am conducting research related to job satisfaction. I would like to ask you to help my work, and fill in the questionnaire. The estimated time for filling it in is 5 minutes. Doing the questionnaire is voluntary and anonymous.”

10 Let’s think over the responders! On the top of the page we can set the following: o Only those should fill in the questionnaire who have a google account. o Should the questions be shuffled?

11 Let’s create the first question! Ask about the responder’s gender! Write: What is your gender? into Question Title line. Click on the Multiple Choice button! We must use Multiple Choice question type where only one answer can be given. In the Advanced settings we may shuffle the answers. It is not advised to use this function in questionnaires, but a good option in testing.

12 Saving and starting questions Click on the DONE to save the question. Create a new question with ADD ITEM.

13 Let’s ask them about their age! Title: How old are you? Choose the TEXT type! In the ADVANCED SETTINGS you can set the following conditions for the field: o Number o String (text) o Regular expression In case of numbers we can give further options: e.g.: less than 100

14 Let’s ask them about their highest qualification! Title: What is your highest qualification? Choose MULTIPLE CHOICE! Answers (e.g.): o Elementary o Secondary o Higher education (college, university)

15 Let’s ask them about their job! Title: What is your job? Leave the setting at Text!

16 Let’s ask them about the place of living! Title: Where do you live? Choose MULTIPLE CHOICE! Answers: o Small town o Town o Capital

17 Let’s ask them about the number of children! Title: How many children have you got? Choose Scale type! Change the minimum to 0 and the maximum to 10.

18 Let’s ask the about their salary! Title: How much do you earn a month? Choose the MULTIPLE CHOICE! Answers: o Below 1000 o 1000-3000 o More than 3000

19 Let’s ask them how many hours they work a week! Title: How many hours do you work a week? Choose TEXT and ADVANCED SETTINGS and NUMBER!

20 Let’s ask them how satisfied they are with their workplace! Title: How satisfied are you with your workplace? Choose SCALE! Give the LABEL: 1: Fully satisfied 5: Fully unsatistfied

22 Finishing The questionnaire should not be saved while it is being made, it is enough to use the DONE button. If we would like to get the link to the questionnaire and to send it by email to have it filled in, then we should click on the SEND FORM button at the bottom of the page. The pop-up window will contain: o The link (which me may paste into our email) o We may instantly share it with the services seen on the page. o We may instantly send the questionnaire by gmail by giving the addresses of the responders. By clicking on the ADD COLLABORATORS link, we can give editorial rights to others.

23 Let’s fill in the questionnaires! Copy the questionnaire link! Paste the link into another window! Fill it in 2-3 times! (fictional data)

25 Download the data! Open the questionnaire window! Choose the VIEW RESPONSES! Highlight the data and copy it to the clipboard!
