THE DESERT BIOME BY: KARIS

TEMPERATURE/ SEASONS o Desert fluctuate from day to night. Winter temperatures are lower than usual in the spring and summer gets hotter and fall the it cools down a bit. In the day the temperature 38 c, and average of 3.9 c in the night.

CLIMATE DESERT BIOMES ARE THE DRIEST OF ALL BIOMES. IN FACT THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTIC OF A DESERT IS THAT IT RECEIVES VERY LITTLE RAINFALL. MOST DESERTS RECEIVES LESS THAN 300mma year compared to rainforest which receives over 2000 mm. that means that the desert only 10 percent of the rain that a rainforest gets! The temperature in the desert can change drastically from day to night because the air is so dry that heat escapes rapidly at night. The desert receives least rain in the spring and summer. August is one of the months that receive the most rain up to 1.3 cm of rain. December through march it is the time period when the desert receives the most precipitation. March to June it does not receive any precipitation at all. Abut 250 mm of rain the desert gets per year, 10 in per rain fall each year. Desert cover – about one fifth of the earths surface and occurs where rainfall is less than 50 cm/ year.

Location The location is between 15 and 35 latitude (north, south) of the equator; examples are Mojave, sonoran, Chihuahua and great basin(north America) sahara ( Africa); Negev (middle east ) and Gobi (Asia)

Patterns When ever the month to month well the seasons spring, summer, winter and fall it gets warmer when the warmer month like june, july, may, march, april, And in winter and fall, september, october, november december january feburay. By it is so hot the plant will die animals and if there to much heat or coldness then it will over come the world

Others A desert is a landscape or region that recieves an extremly low amount of precipitation deserts are defined as areas with an average annuaul precipitation of less than 250 mm (10 in). As areas where moved water is lost by evaporataspiation than falls as precipitation.
