Our Mission  Listening to customers and identifying their needs.  Developing environmentally safe, effective products to meet these needs.  Efficient production methods that enable us to price our products fairly.  A customer-focused business ethic that translates into the highest quality of customer service.

Objectives for Today’s Meeting  Familiarize with DeltaGreen® Concentrate.  Provide in-depth information about DeltaGreen® Concentrate and its capabilities.  Demonstrate how DeltaGreen® Concentrate can save money and improve employee and patron safety.

 DeltaGreen® Concentrate is a water based Non-ionic surfactant and is considered non-hazardous under the OSHA hazard communication standard (29 CFR 1910-1200).  Non-Acid  Non-Alkali  Non-Solvent  None of the product’s ingredients are found on any list of hazardous, carcinogenic or banned chemical agents or materials generated by them. This product contains no chemicals subjects to SARA Title III Section 313 part 372 reporting requirements. The ingredients are listed on the TSCA list of approved chemicals.  DeltaGreen® Concentrate has been tested for Acute Fish Bioassay to determine the hazardous toxicity of the product. In accordance with Title 22 State of California the product was found to be non-hazardous.

Safe, water-based cleaner and degreaser that is  VOC = 0  Totally biodegradable  Non-hazardous  Odorless  Non-toxic and non-alkali  Non-corrosive  Safe on any washable surface  Will not harm people, animals, or plants SAFE

Must be diluted to accomplish a wide range of tasks Can be used in:  Heated dip tanks  Parts washers  Heated spray washers  Steam Cleaners  High pressure washers  Ultrasonic wash tanks  Pump sprayers  Carpet Cleaners  Floor Scrubbing machines Mop and bucket  Removes dirt, grease, oil, graphite, carbon, from any washable surface, leaving no residue VERSATILE

 Degreasing of Parts in Parts Washers Ferrous Products, Aluminum, Titanium, ETC  Aircraft Cleaner – Exterior and Interior  Floor Cleaner – Concrete, Epoxy Coated floors, Marbles, Granites, Mosaics, Travertine, Wood, Etc.  Carpet Cleaner  Upholstery Cleaner  Vinyl  Lather  Laundry Spot Remover  Car Wash - Exterior and Interior  Trains - Exterior and Interior Applications

The DeltaGreen® Concentrate consist of the following ingredients:  De-Ionized Water  Surfactant( Non-ionic)  Amphoteric Surfactant (Hydrotrop)  Wetting Agent  Buffering Agent (inorganic salt)  Corrosion Inhibitor

 Deionized Water Deionized water, also known as demineralized water (DI water de-ionized water), is water that has had its mineral ions removed, such as cations from sodium, calcium, iron, copper and anions such as chloride and bromide. Deionization is a physical process which uses specially-manufactured ion exchange resins which bind to and filter out the mineral salts from water. Because the majority of water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces a high purity water that is generally similar to distilled water.watercationssodiumcalciumironcopperanionschloridebromide

Non-ionic surfactants What is a surfactant? A surfactant or surface active agent is a substance that, when dissolved in water, gives a product the ability to remove dirt from surfaces such as the human skin, textiles, and other solids. In more technical terms: they enable the cleaning solution to fully wet the surface being cleaned so that dirt can be readily loosened and removed. they clean greasy, oily, particulate-, protein-, and carbohydrate-based stains. they are instrumental in removing dirt and in keeping them emulsified, suspended, and dispersed so they don't settle back onto the surface being cleaned.

Non-ionic surfactants How Do surfactant Work? Surfactants can work in three different ways: roll-up, emulsification, and solubilization. Roll-up mechanism The surfactant lowers the oil/solution and fabric/solution interfacial tensions and in this way lifts the stain of the fabric. Emulsification The surfactant lowers the oil-solution interfacial tension and makes easy emulsification of the oily soils possible. Solubilization Through interaction with the micelles of a surfactant in a solvent (water), a substance spontaneously dissolves to form a stable and clear solution.

How Do surfactant Work? Continues The surfactant lowers the oil-solution and makes easy emulsification of the oily soils possible. The surfactant lowers the oil/solution and fabric/solution interfacial tensions and in this way lifts the stain of the fabric.

Non-ionic surfactants  Amphoteric Surfactant (Hydrotrope) Hydrotropes are chemical compounds with one region that gets along well with water or is hydrophilic and another that gets along poorly with water or is hydrophobic. Like surfactants, they make organic compounds more soluble in water, and in fact they can help dissolve certain kinds of surfactants that have low solubility.

Non-ionic surfactants  Wetting Agent A wetting agent surfacant lowers the surface tension of water to allow the cleaning solution to wet surfaces and penetrate into, under, and around soils and surface crevices. They create a bridge between the water and any hydophobic (water hating or repelling) surface. You can think of a wetting agent as having one end of a molecule attracted to the surface while pulling the water solution towards the otherwise water-repelling surface, allowing the water solution to be in contact with more of the surface that needs to be cleaned.

Non-ionic surfactants Wetting Agent - Continues Water bead without the addition of a Wetting Agent Surfactant Poor wetting. Water does not spread. Higher surface tension Before Wetting Water bead with the addition of a Wetting Agent Surfactant Good wetting. Water can spread. Higher surface tension After Wetting

Non-ionic surfactants  Buffering Agent – Food Grade Buffering Agent (inorganic salt), give great detergency activity in combination with the properties of sequestration, dispersion & buffering ability. Works well on all types of surfaces and many different stubborn cleaning problems. Can remove greases, soils, and more.

Non-ionic surfactants  Corrosion Inhibition The inhibitor ion acts to form a physical barrier to prevent alkali attack and protect sensitive glazed dishware, glass, and metallic surfaces.

Direct Cost  High Dilution Ratio Indirect Cost  Worker’s Compensation Contact Dermatitis – 72,000 Reported each year Slip & Fall – 25,000 serious slip and fall accidents occur each year  Waste minimization Neutral pH Replacing one cleaner with several cleaners  Minimizes, Reporting Requirements

 Clean Air Solvent Certificate The South Coast Air Quality Management District hereby certifies DeltaGreen™ Concentrate as a Clean Air Solvent.

NSF The NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements including FDA 21 CFR for appropriate use, ingredient and labeling review.  EcoLogo  Founded in 1988 by the Government of Canada but now recognized world-wide, EcoLogo™is North America’s largest, most respected environmental standard and certification mark. EcoLogo provides customers – public, corporate and consumer – with assurance that the products and services bearing the logo meet stringent standards of environmental leadership. With THOUSANDS of EcoLogo Certified products, EcoLogo certifies environmental leaders covering a large variety of categories, helping you find and trust the world’s most sustainable products. The EcoLogo Program is a Type I eco-label, as defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This means that the Program compares products/services with others in the same category, develops rigorous and scientifically relevant criteria that reflect the entire lifecycle of the product, and awards the EcoLogo to those that are verified by an independent third party as complying with the criteria. The EcoLogo Program is one of two such programs in North America that has been successfully audited by the Global EcoLabelling Network (GEN) as meeting ISO 14024 standards for eco-labelling.
