Simple Subjects and Predicates Every sentence has a simple subject and predicate.

Simple Subjects and Predicates Simple Subject- The MAIN word (or words) in the complete subject. Simple Predicate (Verb)- The MAIN word (or words) in the complete predicate. Example: The middle school students had a pizza party on Friday.
