2  Incorporates a broad range of everyday and natural materials.  Installations are site- specific and designed to exist only in that place.  Came to prominence in the1970’s but its roots can be identified in earlier artists such as Marcel Puchamp and Kurt Schwitters

3  Installation is a specific form of art.  “Environment”, “Project Art” and “Temporary Art” are terms used to categorize Installation Art.  Installation is an artistic genre of three- dimensional works.  There is interactive installation that responds to users activity.

4  It can be Web-based, gallery based, digitally based, electronically, etc…  Installation Art appeared mostly in the end of 1980s and became a genre in the1990s.  Installations are artistic interventions designed to make us rethink our lives and values.  Installation art attempts to engage all five of the senses.
