2.  Art is universal. People from many different cultures and countries have contributed to the art world in one way or another. Some contributions include paintings, masks, and murals to name a few. This blog will discuss some of the technological integrated strategies available to help students’ grades K-12, understand multiculturalism within the art world.

3.  Blick art is a website that sells art supplies. Within the sight there exists a section called multicultural lessons. This portion of the site has 12 art lessons that have been uploaded by educators. The lessons deal with multiculturalism art that exists in the U.S. Each age specific lesson comes with a picture of what the outcome should look like, instructions, and a list of materials needed.

4.  Marvin Bartel, an art educator discusses teaching art to raise pride in a student’s own cultural identity while gaining respect and appreciation for the art of other cultures. Some of the topics he discusses include underlying concepts, creative collaborations, and cultural and historical connections.

5.  The multicultural art website includes original artwork, sculptures and fine art prints. The work featured comes from people of different ethnicities. One of the interesting things about this website is, it includes a picture of the artist besides their media. It also contains a brief history on each of artists. If their name is double clicked, it will show all their work including the ones sold.

6.  This particular website is a true representation of multiculturalism. The sight is broken down into several categories such art paintings, sculpture, jewelry, ceramic glass, and many more. Within each categories exists even more sub-categories. These sub-categories include different disciplines such as modernism, urbanism, and techno-art. The Fine Art website contains literally thousands of artwork from all over the world.

7.  Multiculturalism is an important aspect to our American culture, but other countries such as Australia deal with similar issues. MAV comes from the land down under and fosters cultural diversity by producing and promoting culturally diverse artistic programs. They also provide connections, support, and pathways to help enable multiculturalism within their own community.
