7 Understanding Words from Their Parts: Over in a Word
Over is a part of a word that help you understand the meaning of the word. At the beginning of a word, over can mean “too much” or “more than is good” Example: - One great danger to oceans worldwide is overfishing. (You see that overfishing means “taking too many fish from the oceans”)

9 UNDERSTANDING WORDS THAT CAN BE MORE THAN ONE PART OF SPEECH
A word might be both a noun and a verb. Often, the meaning is similar. Sometimes it’s different. Examples: - There aren’t enough police in this city. (In this sentence, police is a noun. It means people whose job is protecting the public.) - Governments have to police the oceans. (Here, police is a verb. It means to keep order in a place.)
