11 11/18/2004The Brookdale International Center Program Structure Meetings of the group before program to discuss course structure/assignments Pre-Departure Orientation to discuss: –What to Pack –Cultural Issues –Health and Safety Abroad –What to Pack –Money Matters –Italian 101 Pre-Departure Class Session –Cover course contents unrelated to Italy In Italy: –Group visits sights (mainly in the morning/early afternoon) with guides –Teaching/Lectures occasionally (on bus, in café/hotel) –Write daily journal –Mid-term before departure; final exam when back home –Sufficient free time scheduled for individual/personal activities
