THE APOLLO MISSIONS By: Gabrielle Van Sant

APOLLO 1 Apollo 1 had a big fire during training and killed 3 people. The fire was because of the oxygen. It was a very small space craft.

WHAT HAPPENED? The people were afraid after the big fire of Apollo. That was the worst thing. There was a spark that flew, and because of having pure oxygen in the air it caused a big fire. The people burned to death within about 6 seconds.

APOLLO 7 Apollo 7 was basically the second Apollo. After the fire the people who created it looked over what was wrong and made a new one. Apollo 7 only orbited the Earth.

Successful Journey’s They were able to see the world from a whole different point of view. Apollo was successful in orbiting the Earth and returning. Apollo 11,12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 all landed on the moon.

It was a little bit bigger than the first one. It could now hold 2 people. 12 APOLLO’S 18,19,and 20 The Apollo’s 18, 19, and 20 were cancelled. Not many people know about the cancelled missions. There was only one website that I went on that had Apollo’s 18, 19, 20.

Conclusion My experience with this project was great. I learned a lot. It was fun seeing the older space crafts, and learning about their differences. I used to think they were all the same, but now I know their not. Thanks to this project I know a lot more about these space crafts than before.
