6 Chapter Vision/Purpose - continued Supporting professional growth to those chapter member who are interested in pursuing professional certification as a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Sharing “best practices” from our office and personal experience, which enhances the skills and knowledge of other administrative professionals

9 IAAP History Founded in 1942 as National Secretaries Association Name changed in 1980 to Professional Secretaries Association Name changed in 1998 to International Association of Administrative Professionals Chippewa Valley Chapter founded in 1971

10 Fun Facts World’s largest association for administrative personnel Nearly 600 chapters and approximately 40,000 members and affiliates worldwide Works in partnership with employers to promote professional excellence
