2 iWatch is a mobile application that allows citizens to turn in crime tips to law enforcement using a mobile device and it helps foster community awareness about suspicious or criminal activities. iWatch allows law enforcement to receive, vet, track, forward and share crime tips within its own agency, as well as push out tips, photos, videos and other information to officers or other agencies.

4 On Launch the app reminds the user that this is NOT for 911, All social media from each department appear as channels within the app in a scrollable menu. Videos, most wanted, FBI updates, Cybercrime, instantly update the app as information is released.

5 APP launches and locates the user and displays content based upon location On first launch, or by selecting the search button, find a PD or SO near them, or by searching city, state and zip. The found records are then displayed. PD’s belonging tothe network appear in the top of the page and non- members below.

6 The app provides a simple interface to send tips They can call a tip hotline, send a text message, make a tip with video and pictures, or submit animal crimes. A control panel lets the user choose from 32 languages in the app and check the status of prior tips

7 Users can share the app with others using their current social media address book The system is now equipped with a “how to” and tour to explain the user how to realize the greatest value of the application. Select the portion of the app you wish to “tour” and the app does the rest.

8 Alerts are sent via email and text to permit the user to view tips in a mobile dashboard within seconds of being sent by the citizen. When tips are received they are distributed to LEO as email, appear as alerts in the dashboard, and are delivered to the mobile app. Use with both patrol officers and private security partners.

9 This can enables Patrol Officers to have a dashboard to view forwarded tips, or tips that have been automatically sent to them based upon offense type. A mobile dashboard for Law Enforcement puts the crime tip on the phone & permits instant updates based on crime class & location. Use with both patrol officers and private security partners.

14 Each Department participating in iWatch has their own dashboard, and their own separate iWatch Server, Admin, Users and App.

15 iWatch Tips are displayed in an easy to use dashboard. A complete range of options to search, based upon time, date, source, offense type, tip status, location, suspect, or other give total control to the administrator.

16 As tips are received, it is geo coded for assignment. Tips may be received in 32 languages, but are translated to English. From there two way anonymous dialog is possible between the admin and the tipster in their native dialect.

17 Received tips may then be forwarded manually to Officers or other resources for investigation, or the system may forward tips received based upon offense type being reported.

18 Tip dashboard shows tips received, location of tips, streetview of location, along with photos sent with tip that may be zoomed to see full size.

19 Tips can be displayed as offense types for investigation, and reports may be produced as Word, Excel, or Acrobat which can then be forwarded to Command staff.

20 Tips can be mapped and displayed as trends to show “heat maps” of crimes, date and time of crimes, and graphical display of stats related to crime for predictive policing.

21 Every person, every group, every ward contributes to the community, and all information flows directly to Law Enforcement for Analysis.
