3 Your first step is to add a new client

4 Click “Create New Client”

13 Automatically sends client email with ID, password, and download link

14 You are now at the Management Page

15 Here you will see your clients listed along with their ID

18 Receiving a File

20 Always close QuickBooks before sending or receiving

21 Click “Receive”

22 The file(s) that are ready to be received will be listed in the Current Queued Files window

26 Locating the File

27 Click on the plus sign next to the client

28 Unrestricted Folder - if a client sends a file and does NOT restrict themselves from inputting new data, the file is downloaded into the unrestricted folder

29 Do not return a file in the unrestricted folder as it will overwrite the client’s current file and they will lose any new input

30 Restricted Folder - if a client sends a file and restricts themselves from inputting new data, the file is downloaded into the restricted folder

31 When you return the file it will overwrite the client’s current QuickBooks file Only return files from the restricted folder

32 In this example the file was sent restricted

33 Click on the plus sign next to the Restricted folder

37 Left click on “Open Location”

38 The folder that appears will contain the file that you downloaded

40 Always close QuickBooks before sending or receiving

51 If your clients are backing up their QuickBooks you can view their backup files at any time

52 Click on the plus sign next to the client

53 Click on the plus sign next to “Client Backup(s)”

54 Here you can see exactly at what time your client last backed up their QuickBooks file

55 Right click on the backup file you want to review

61 The folder that appears will contain the backup file for you to view
