But which is which? c) Bench heat – feel how far the heat travels through the bench below the bunsen. a)Rising heat – Feel the heat rising above the Bunsen. Hold a spiral suspended from a thread above the Bunsen. b)Gauze heating – how close can you feel the heating when you put your hand at the side of the flame? Then put the Bunsen under a gauze on a tripod, let it heat up. Again how close at the side can you feel the heating?

Radiation can travel through anything transparent. It does not need particles to help it move. Engage ElicitExploreExplainElaborateExtendEvaluate Heat radiation travels through space, or anything transparent – just like light rays can. Heat radiation is called infra red rays. The rays fall on materials and make them hot. All hot materials give out heat rays. You can feel heat rays when they fall on your skin. The red hot gauze on the tripod gives out lots of heat rays. Heat rays pass through the air and through the hole in the card. Heat rays travel in straight lines and make heat shadows just like light. Gordo’s third secret

Ally has prepared a fine but simple celebration dinner at Hesto’s Resto. It has these foods in it. nA sponge cake for dessert baked in an oven. nSlices of tender meat grilled under an electric grill. nStir fried vegetables cooked quickly and crisply.
