What is a Zombie?  The body of a dead person given the semblance of life, but mute and will-less, by a supernatural force, usually for some evil purpose 1. 1. Dictoinary.com

Step 1: Preparing for the Inevitable  Study as much as you can about zombie outbreaks so you can recognize one as soon as it occurs  Familiarize yourself with the local gun stores  While you’re at it, but a gun for yourself and practice. Aim for the head!  Also, stockpile ammo. You’re going to need a lot of it.  Plan your headquarters  Shopping malls and superstores are good places to start if planning on long term survival  Put together a zombie care survival kit  Include first aid kid, batteries, flashlights, canned goods, an emergency radio, etc.

Step 2: Know Your Enemy  There are different types of zombies:  Hollywood Zombies: Your most typical form of zombie, they move slowly and love to feast on brains.  New Age Hollywood Zombies: Unlike their predecessors, the new school Hollywood breed of zombie move quickly and climb buildings almost as well as Spider Man.

Step 2: Know Your Enemy Cont.  Appearance and Hygiene:  Disheveled appearance  Torn or muddy clothing  Unkempt hair  Dirty fingernails  They most likely smell dead… because they are.  Walk with a staggering gait  They probably won’t respond to your attempts of communication  They want you for your brains  They prefer human flesh over the flesh of animals

Step 3: Fighting the Enemy  Aim for the head! Smash, shoot, squish. All effective methods.  Use fire whenever possible  Note: NEVER wrestle a zombie. You WILL get bit.  In case you find yourself cornered you can pretend to be one.  Note: This is only recommended for dire situations.  Guns are good for temporary use, but you will need to find a blade or blunt object of some sort for long term use.

Step 4: Strategies for Survival  Run  Hide  Find a place that is easy to defend and provides necessary survival necessities (food, water, tools, weapons)  Good hiding places  Schools, supermarkets, department or super stores  Bad hiding places  Places with no escape (basements, cellars),  Once a hiding place has been established, reinforce the entrances and exits  Buddy up  If someone in your party has been bit, they have about 24 hours before they become reanimated, you can kill them now or kill them later. Either way they have to die.

Long Term Survival  Zombies are less likely to be found in places with fewer people to feast on (like the woods). Consider taking lessons from Bear Grylls before the attack  Establish leadership within your group  This role will most likely go to you since you will be the most prepared after this presentation  Make sure you have a pair of good running shoes  Fill every available container with water before it runs out

Remember This:  The zombies will eventually run out of food and starve to death. Your goal is to outlast them by whatever means necessary. This is most likely your best chance of survival. It is unlikely you can kill every zombie with your bare hands… So don’t even try.  Questions?
