Identify and develop writing entrance and exit milestones for students in the writing strand of the ELA curriculum.  2.)Identify a developmental writing sequence for grades K-5.  3.)Develop a common writing language  4.)Provide an integrated sequence.  5.)Develop a system for writing folders to give both students and teachers a tool to reflect on growth.  Alignment Plan

12  1.)“ALL STAR ATTENDANCE – GRADE ___”  2.) DAILY ATTENDANCE  ALL STUDENTS ARE PRESENT + ON TIME  A STAR ON DOOR.  3.)PERFECT ATTENDANCE -MONTH = PIZZA PARTY!!!  4.) If MORE THAN ONE CLASS HAS PERFECT ATTENDANCE, DRAWING WILL BE HELD  5.)TEACHERS - INDIVIDUAL CLASSROOM REWARDS All Star Attendance

13  THE RULES  1.) READ - 15 minutes a day at home, 5 days a week  2.) Each student - log - track minutes.  3.) Parents will sign off at home to verify that the reading has occurred. (K,1) – being read to counts!).  4.) Teachers will keep track of totals in the classroom  5.) At the end of month, every student who meets requirements will receive a free sundae/ice cream at local restaurant.  6.) All classes who reach the monthly requirement will eligible to have their names placed in a drawing. Winner will receive an ICE CREAM party BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

17 NOTE: send to MAIN OFFICE  No note received, call by 2:30 – child can be sent to Main Office  Bring license and present at Office DO NOT remove your child from the line as the teacher is taking the children to the bus – ALL children must be signed out in the office If someone else is signing your child out  Need to bring in license as well  Pick-ups need to be verified with a parental note giving permission. Received permission to attend RLHS OR Refused Busing Need to come in to Main Office daily to sign child out Meet Child in lobby at dismissal Return K-2 Walker Buddy list End of Day Pick-up
