3 Possessed a Magical Girdle That Compelled Anyone She Wished to Desire Her. She Had the Ability to Make People Fall in Love, or Lust, With One Another. Her Domain Was Intended to Be the “Sweetness of Love,” but She Often Found Herself Involved in Mischief.

4 Had a Weakness for Attractive Men, Which Often Led to Catastrophe. Partially Responsible for the Trojan War by Causing Paris to Fall in Love With Helen of Troy. Had a Tendency, to Meddle in the Affairs of Mortals.

5 Aphrodite’s Roman Counterpart Is Venus. She Was Intended As the “Queen of Pleasure.” Venus Is Often Associated With Her Lover Mars, God of War. She Was the Nature Goddess, Associated With the Arrival of Spring. It Was Venus Who Brought Joy to Gods and Mortals.
