2 Copy Forward Function: –Allows recipients to copy existing reports from the previous reporting period to the current reporting period Links two reports even if business keys have changed Creates an audit trail by linking reports –Reduces data entry time by pre-populating current reporting period’s information –Allows FederalReporting.gov to track quarterly progress of an award –Reduces the likelihood of double counting of an award Copy Forward Function Overview 2

3 Recipients should use the copy forward function when: –A report for the same Award # and DUNS # was filed in the previous reporting period –The report is an update to the current report When do I use the copy forward function? 3

4 Copy Forward Function 1.Click on ‘My Reports’ – Prime Recipient (or Sub Recipient) link 2.Set the Calendar Year and Calendar Month to the previous reporting period and search for the report to copy. Only reports from the previous reporting period can be copied. 3.Once the report is opened, click on the ‘Copy Forward’ button to copy the report to the current quarter. 4

5 Copy Forward Function 4.The Copy Report Forward page is displayed. While on this page, the user has the option to change the award #, prime DUNS, Order # (for Federally Awarded Contracts) and to include Sub Recipient Reports. This is the only page where report keys can be changed. Click on ‘Confirm Copy Forward’ button to proceed. 5

6 Copy Forward Function 5.Depending on the user and award type, the system displays either a Sub Recipient report or Prime Recipient report with conditional Sub Recipient and/or Vendor tabs. 6.The user has the option to modify non-business key information before saving/submitting the report. To save the report click on ‘Save as Draft’ button or click the ‘Submit’ button. 6

7 Copy Forward Function 7.If the user decides to submit the report, the system will display the Confirm Initial Submission page. To complete the submission, enter the FRPIN and click ‘Submit’. 7
