5 5 Participants Twenty radio practitioners representing twelve community oriented radio stations.Three examples: Mama FM, Kampala: Target audience: "Marginalised and vulnerable women (e.g. in slum areas) and women in leadership positions" Radio Wa,Lira: Target audience: "Rural communities with a bias towards vulnerable groups in Lango (women, children, disabled persons, elderly" KKCR, Kagadi Kabaale: Target audience "Rural poor, marginalised groups with a special focus on children/youth and women"

6 6 Process 1. Audience Dialogue (AD)/Uganda approached CAMECO (Oct ‚ 2013) 2. A project proposal was prepared (AD,UEC and CAMECO) 3. Project approval by the Board of Stem van Afrika (May 2014) 4. A Call for Interest with clear participation criteria was dissemi- nated to about thirty radio stations Uganda (May 2014) 5. Screening of applications (by AD,UEC and CAMECO) 6. Workshop took place from 1 st July to 11 th July in Kampala 7. August - October 2014 implementation/field phase 8. 25th/26 th November 2014: Networking/sharing meeting in Kampala 9.
