Set PDP Start Date Confirm your license type. Select the PDP term (if optional). Today’s date is the license year that marks Yr 1 of the PDP. Yr 1 of PDP: July 1 – June 30, ????

User’s Home Page

Main Menu Links The links appear as needed by the User and align with the recommended process and due dates from DPI.

Main Menu Links (cont’d) New links appear as the User completes the previous step. For example… User completes:New link appears: Self Reflection View/Edit PDP Writing PDP Self Assess: PDP Goal Approval Self Assessment Convene Review Team PDP Approved! Continue to Next Phase

If….Then…. No Self Assess Checklist? If you’ve completed your PDP, but do not have the new link, “Self-Assess PDP” it is likely that you don’t have at least 10 characters in each components’ text box, or, you have an empty activity, timeline, or objective.

Main Menu Links (cont’d) Edit Your PDP Term This link is available only until you Submit PDP to Review Team for Goal Approval. Revising this term date resets the PDP start date. Note: Be sure the term you select aligns with the timeline you build for Activities in Component E.

WI PDP Features HELP both program navigation and content help (examples, etc) AUTOMATED EMAILS important to open and READ! STATUS AND ALERT BARS keeps you on track SESSION TIME-OUT for your security “TRIGGERS” FOR NEXT STEPS important actions to be taken by both Users and Reviewers to move through cycle

AUTOMATED EMAILS From Group Administrator WI PDP: Password Retrieval Review Team Member confirmations WI PDP: Reviewer Accepted! WI PDP: Reviewer Declined! Review process communications WI PDP: Comment from Review Team Member WI PDP: Approval of Goals! WI PDP: Final Verification of PDP! Due dates reminder WI PDP: Warning - Target Date Approaching Starts 14 days prior/continues until target date WI PDP: Warning – Deadline Approaching Starts 14 days prior/continues until deadline

SESSION TIME-OUT The session expires automatically after 60 minutes unless you are interacting with the Server (e.g. hit “save”, open a “Help” window, navigate to and from your home page, etc). If you are inactive, the session will expire. Each time you interact with the Server, the 60 minutes is reset. Please note: Just typing text is NOT interacting with the Server, and unsaved work will be lost. A warning feature is enabled on any page with a text box when you type any key. An alert message will show at the 2 minute warning. The alert shows a countdown and warns, “unsaved text will be lost”. “All my hard work was lost!” Jayne Werner

“TRIGGERS” FOR NEXT STEPS Actions by both Users and Reviewers trigger the licensure process. For example: ~Users click Submit PDP for Review when all three team members are confirmed to trigger PDP Review Team to have access to the PDP for Goal Approval ~Reviewers click Approve PDP when checklist items are all ‘yes’ to trigger the automatic creation of the DPI-required PDP Goal Approval Form in the User’s Archives ~Users click Continue to Next Phase after Goal Approval and after the required personal Annual Review is complete (to trigger the next year in the license cycle and a snapshot of the PDP for the User’s Archives) Always read the Status and Alert bars to keep yourself informed and on track. Contact the Group Administrator from your home page if you need assistance.

Navigation Hints Always navigate from your Home Page – if you get ‘lost’ go back home and start from there. All links are blue (not underlined like some web applications). Read emails, homepage status and alert bars to stay on track Questions? Contact the Group Administrator from your home page.

HELP! Please mark your due dates in your calendar. Please keep your personal information updated in the Registration Link from the footer on your homepage. Please see the handouts in your binder, PDP Writing Resources and WI PDP Users Technical Assistance for information on all phases of the process.
