How did the south become dependent on slave labor ?
South did not diversify its ’ economy, the land was suited for farming crops that required a lot of labor, there was a huge demand for cotton, the north needed the cotton in its ’ textile mills, the Constitution allowed slavery.

States right, right to property, economic necessity, slavery existed even in ancient times
