An international federation of over 40 NGOs and charities, promoting peace & cultural understanding through the exchange of people & skills. 1949 ICYE established between Germany & the USA. 1987 ICYE becomes a United Nations Peace Messenger. 1993 ICYE UK established – A registered charity sending over 70 volunteers per year to support local NGOs, with a focus on ‘ethical volunteering’.
