His appearance and character When he was young, he was a superb athlete=>very handsome His fingers were full of jewelled rings, around his neck he wore a gold collar from which hung a diamond as big as a walnut. His clothes were magnificent- made from silks, cloth of gold, satins, coloured feathers and jewells and precious metals But he was egotistical, and ambitious for money and power

17. His last days He could hardly walk or stand became paranoid in his final years-trusted no one Died on January 28, 1547 He was 56 years old The cause of his death remains unknown-He possibly suffered a thrombosis in his leg or coronary heart failure Buried in Windsor Castle next to Jane Seymour
