Little Lives Campaign For advanced treatment and diagnostic equipment
The Little Lives Campaign was launched to raise funds for specialist equipment for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
NICU provides care for 300 babies every year born too sick, too small or too soon
Babies like Imogen, born at just 26 weeks....
........weighing just 1lb 12oz
Thanks to the wonderful support of local people and organisations babies are already benefiting from a range of new equipment funded through the campaign….
A highly advanced blood gas analyser means all routine blood testing can be done on the Unit with instantaneous results and much reduced blood samples
Helping babies like Daisy to get a quicker diagnosis and more effective treatment!
New CPAP breathing aids help babies breath easier with less intrusion than normal ventilation
State-of-the-art incubators can weigh and x-ray without disturbing baby! Baby Harry, seen here with mum Gemma, stayed in one after being born 7 weeks too soon.....
Thousands of babies, like Kira and Rebecca here, will benefit from equipment funded by the Stars Appeal Little Lives Campaign
Helping families get home sooner! Remember tiny Imogen earlier? Here she is going home after 3 months weighing a whopping 4lb 6z
Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
