Automated Graduation Process
What it does: Identifies and targets relevant students Tracks students’ progress through the process in a transparent and reportable way. Illustrates a student’s status in a snapshot view Eliminates paper forms and hand signatures Eliminates ‘running around’
What it doesn’t do: Replace the face to face meeting between a student and her advisor Standardize or ‘box-in’ every department into a certain way of doing things Eliminate staff oversight or intervention
As delivered: – Declaration of intention and timeframe – Confirmation of our recorded degree/plans – Verification of diploma name and address Add modified pages – Collect information: Previously applied/Honors or ROTC? – Provide instructions for consent: Bursar balance for diploma/More address confirmation Reapplication procedures/Commencement booklet policies Add repository to Grad Tacking component to hold additional information.

Advisor Experience Cycle of monitoring progress, responding to meeting requests, and face to face appointments Receive meeting requests from applied degree candidates Meet and review Advising Report and Planner Approve progress and/or input exceptions as is standard to the department Access, approve, and route automated forms through an online workflow Respond to and resolve graduation issues as is routine to the department
