What is Child Pornography? Child pornography refers to images or films (also known as child abuse images and, in some cases, writings depicting sexually explicit activities involving a child Abuse of the child occurs during the sexual acts which are recorded in the production of child pornography Legal definitions of child pornography generally include sexual images involving prepubescent's and pubescent or post-pubescent minors and computer-generated images that appear to involve them
Consequences of child pornography! - The potential consequences often fall from the actual criminal penalties imposed on a convicted individual. However, from a legal perspective, it is also notable that the applicable criminal penalties in a given case will widely vary based on the jurisdiction where a case occurs.
The effects It can Have on the child? Overwhelming feelings of guilt, shame, worthlessness, and embarrassment that may escalate with age Physical and emotional pain Psychological distress Interference with and difficulty in child development (both physically and emotionally) Children are more likely to become victims of future sexual violence Greater risk of sexual diseases Greater risk of unplanned pregnancies at a young age Difficulty with relationships
