2  Do’s  Make use of privacy settings on the various forms of social media

3  Have a reasonable profile picture

4  Be mindful of who you tag in photos  Share important news with friends or family first before posting it on social media

5 Break up with someone or have a public argument with someone on Social Media

6  Post embarrassing/ suggestive/ explicit/ nude pictures of yourself or anyone else

7  Post information that can be used against you  Post anything too personal on someone’s wall  Friend someone you don’t know in real life  Post anything which may hurt a friend’s relationship or career

8  Bullying  Psychological Impact (depression etc)  Tarnished reputation

9  Negative emotions – anger, hurt, frustration  Legal Implications – Child pornography, harassment, deformation of character

10  Knowledge is power! Gain knowledge about privacy settings and how to use them.

11  Accept invites from family members so that they can help monitor your social media involvement
