4 HULL WIND II Landfill Conditions – Three Sections:  Phase 1A – closed, unlined landfill cell, capped with low permeability (clay) cap  Phase 1B – closed, unlined landfill cell, capped with flexible membrane liner (FML) cap Location for WTG Installation  Phase 2 – lined landfill cell, active, operating area of the landfill Locations for supporting structures; poles, ductbank

5 HULL WIND II Project Specifications (Phase IB)- Disruption of 5,000 s.f. of existing landfill cap for WTG:  Removal of existing membrane and covering soils  Placement of a pile foundation  Placement of a 20’ square concrete pad over the piles to support WTG  Replacement of existing FML within disturbed area with 40 mil HDPE membrane welded to existing membrane to restore cap integrity  Cover with 12” of drainage sand and 6” of vegetative support soil (loam)

6 HULL WIND II Project specifications (Phase 2):  Utility poles (2) placement supporting overhead transmission lines for interconnection  Waste depth at pole locations in excess of 20’  Poles set at 6.5 ft. BGS to maintain liner  Placement of underground duct bank from WTG to switch gear to new overhead power line  Bottom of duct bank approx. 30” BGS to maintain liner

7 HULL WIND II Costs and Benefits:  $ 3,000,000 construction cost  $ 31,000 annual maintenance and insurance cost  Value of electricity approx. $0.10/kWh which would otherwise be purchased to respond to Hull demand

8 HULL WIND II Since June 22, 2006 (date of commission):  7,767,600 kWhs generated (23.3% capacity)  $ 776,760 avoided energy costs  $1,800,000 received for RECs  No emissions  No fuel spills  No unscheduled outages
