17 17 Options evaluated Install a new pipe by drilling beneath the Assiniboine River – difficult soil conditions Install a new pipe by open cut beneath the Assiniboine River – high ground water conditions, difficult soil conditions, regulatory concerns by Department of Fisheries and Oceans Repair the pipe by internal lining methods – cost prohibitive Other consideration Build a new bridge to support the water main and a pedestrian/ bike path – no funding support
