An essay usually has the following structure: 1. Headline 2. Introduction 3. Body 4. Ending/close/conclusion The four parts are explained on the following slides.
The headline should be brief and precise/catchy.
Write a general introduction to the topic in which you include e.g. a question, a statement, facts or a quotation.
Structure the contents of your essay in clearly defined sections. Arrange the contents logically. Make sure you address all the issues mentioned in the instructions. Discuss all the aspects of the topic. Illustrate your points of view by giving examples. Do not use “I”.
End the essay appropriately e.g. by summarising the main points concluding on the overall topic providing final comments
