Studio Cambridge - an overview Studio Cambridge is the oldest English Language School in Cambridge, England We are not part of a chain of schools; we are privately owned and managed We are accredited by the British Council and are a member of English UK and Education UK Our main school is located only 10 minutes by foot from Cambridge city centre and just 400 metres from the train station
Adult schools We offer two locations in Cambridge for our adult classes, depending on the time of year. These are for students aged 16+: During the academic year (September to June), classes are held at Studio Main School, Salisbury Villas, Station Road During the summer (July and August), classes are held at the renowned Hills Road Sixth Form College.

Course overview Studio Cambridge adult students can choose from the following courses: English for Life 20 (20 lessons/15 hours per week) English for Life 28 (28 lessons/21 hours per week), including an choice of afternoon options such as Business English, Academic English, Reading and Writing, Special Interest and Language Skills Plus Cambridge FCE/CAE certificates (21 hours per week) IELTS preparation course (21 hours per week)
English for Life 20 General English course with 15 hours (20 lessons) per week Lessons from 09:15 - 12:45 Monday to Friday Dynamic, progressive and focused lessons Progress tests and access to the Learning Centre facilities, including free Internet and Wi-Fi Access to the Social Activities Programme Certificate of Studies and Academic Report EFL 20 is the heart of the intensive course EFL 28
English for Life 28 General English course with 21 hours (28 lessons) per week Lessons from 09:15 - 12:45 Monday to Friday and 13:45 - 15:15 Monday to Thursday Dynamic, progressive and focused lessons Progress tests and access to the Learning Centre facilities, including free Internet and Wi-Fi Access to the Social Activities Programme Certificate of Studies and Academic Report EFL 28 is our most popular course
English for Life 28 Afternoon options Language Skills Plus Cultural Studies English for business Reading and Writing Academic English
Exam courses IELTS 6 week course 5 courses per year For English levels 5 & 6 Internationally recognised qualification used for University admission Cambridge Exam Course (FCE and CAE certificates) 6, 9 and 12 week courses available 6 courses per year For English levels 4 & 5 or 5 & 6 Internationally recognised qualification used for University admission Excellent Intensive course for improving English
Social Programme At least 5 activities included per week No additional costs except food in restaurants for example Encourages English practice outside of class Activities include: Sports (football, volleyball, park sports, tennis, swimming) Arts and crafts (glass painting, T-shirt design, drawing) Cultural visits to museums, colleges, punting Language games Evening activities such as karaoke, disco, pub night

Accommodation - Homestay Living in a family home is the best way to experience English culture and practise your English Standard 3* Homestay includes a single room, morning and evening meals with your family during the week and all meals at the weekends. There are also 4* and 5* Homestay options providing more facilities such as a private bathroom (5* families) We aim to accommodate you within 30 minutes travelling distance of the school, whether by bus, bike or foot.
Accommodation - Residential This choice is ideal for more independent students aged 18+ We have two residential student houses which are self- catering. Oak Tree House is for a maximum of 5 students with one warden It is 20 minutes' bus journey from the school and within walking distance of the city centre. Self-catering accommodation with 5 single rooms and private bathrooms On-site warden Large kitchen/dining area
Accommodation - Residential Cherry Tree House is only ten minutes’ walk from our main school and is a larger house, for a maximum of 18 students with one warden. There are two kitchens, a living room/dining room and a laundry available. A mix of single, single ensuite, twin/double ensuite bedrooms are available. This residence is self-catering. On-site warden.
Summer camps Studio Cambridge also runs summer programmes for students aged 9 - 19 years old, as well as one winter camp for 14 - 17 year olds. All summer and winter camps include: At least 15 hours of English tuition Accommodation (residential or residential and Homestay) All meals A timetable of activities and excursions around lessons Airport transfers from Heathrow and Stansted airports Insurance
