Reasons might be:- –Manufacturers training needed for new equipment –Not cost effective to do in-house –Specialist tutors available Drawbacks Drawbacks –Can be expensive, employee away from workplace for longer Advantages Advantages –Employees can network –Removed from distractions of workplace –Employees feel looked after

Advantages are:- –Can gain good working knowledge of set-up –Get good hands-on experience –Productive paid work –Does not require separate training area –Tests level on competence on tasks
