Back to School with God Welcome to our Sunday service at the start of this new school year Dig Down Deep!
Back to School with God Jesus says, “If you have been listening to what I have told you today and you do it, this is what you are like - you are like a builder who builds a house.” Luke 6:47-48, paraphrased 1. Two builders
Back to School with God Two builders.... 1. Two builders One wise... One foolish. One who listens to Jesus. One who ignores him.
Back to School with God 1. Two builders In Luke 6, Jesus says his followers should: Love God and do what pleases him Tell the truth and keep their promises Look out for others and do all they can to help Forgive those who hurt them Trust God and talk to him about everything.
Back to School with God What type of builder are you? 1. Two builders Wise... or foolish? Listening to Jesus? Or ignoring Jesus?
Back to School with God Prayer Use your fists to build a tower. Put down a fist, saying together: Thank you God, that you teach us how to live. Put a second first on top of the first, saying: Help us to be wise builders, dig down deep and build our lives on you. Repeat 5 times.

Back to School with God How can we into Jesus? It takes effort! Wanting to know Jesus and how to follow him Wanting to talk to him during the school day Belonging to church or school SU group Knowing that easy things are not always the best things. 2. Two foundations
Back to School with God Prayer Pray aloud together, saying: Thank you, Jesus, for your words. Thank you that you are our Rock, our helper. Teach us to listen and obey you. Help us to build our lives on you. Amen.

Back to School with God As you go to school, dig down deep into Jesus! ‘Ask the Saviour to help you, Comfort, strengthen and keep you He is willing to aid you, He will carry you through.’
