Basic Christianity: Part One: Love God
How do you sum up Christianity? How do you sum up your Christian life? If someone were to write a book entitled ”Christianity for dummies," what would it say?
Well, Jesus was asked a very similar question in Matthew 22:34-40
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Today we are going to deal with the first commandment Love GOD
How do you love GOD? What does loving GOD look like?
Having a relationship with GOD is much like having a relationship with anyone there are certain things you do when you love someone.

#2 When you love someone you want to know everything you can about them Study GODS word 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
#3 When you love someone you want to praise them Ephesians 1:6 (NLT) 6 So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. Praise and Worship GOD

What did Jesus tell us to do before he went to heaven
Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT) 18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “ I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ”
