Five stages to describe growth & development which equate to the five stages of this LTAD framework for swimming. 6 Competitive Skill Fri 8-9pm & Sun pm – 2hrs total Karen, Jon & Stephen Aim:To concentrate on competitive skills and increase the distances swum in training and competition. 7 Competitive Development Mon 8-9pm(shared with Competitive), Fri 8-9 (shared with Competitive) & Sun pm – 3hrs total Nikki, Sam,Dawn & Stephen Aim:To develop the training techniques to lead to training to train skills. Entry and movement criteria is detailed on the Summary chart. No of Lanes: Mon -3 Lanes Nikki & Sam Fri – 3 Lanes Sam & snr swimmer, Sunday – 3 Lanes – Dawn & Stephen Potential number in each lane: 9 on Mon, Fri & 7 on Sun

8 Competitive Mon 8-9pm(shared with Com Dev),Weds 7-8, Thurs am, Fri 8-9 (shared with Comp Dev) & Sun pm(Shared with Comp Dev) – 5.25hrs total Nikki, Sam, Dawn, Chris & Stephen Aim:To train over longer distances and raise the intensity to prepare for moving onto performance swimming within their respective age groups. Entry and movement criteria is detailed on the Summary chart. No of Lanes: Mon -3 Lanes Nikki & Sam, Weds 2 Lanes Karen, Thurs 1 Lane Chris, Fri – 3 Lanes Sam & snr swimmer, Sunday – 3 Lanes – Dawn & Stephen Potential number in each lane: 9 on Mon, Weds 7, Thurs 15, Fri 9 on Sun 9

12 Performance Mon 7-9pm, Tues am,Tues , Thurs am, Fri 7-9pm & Sun hrs total Nikki Aim: To create a performance pathway for those showing potential within their respective age groups. Entry and movement criteria is detailed on the Summary chart. No of Lanes: Mon -2(1)Lanes Nikki, Tues 2 Lanes Nikki, Thurs 1 Lane Nikki, Fri – 2(1) Lanes Nikki, Sunday – 2 Lanes – Nikki Potential number in each lane: 5 (9)

13 Club Squad Fri 1hr pm Sam Aim:To create a squad where the swimmer can still feel part of the club and compete but without the competitive and training pressure of having to peform Entry and movement criteria is detailed on the Summary chart. No of Lanes: 3 Potential number in each lane: 8

14 Masters 1hr a week every Monday 9-10pm with Caroline. For the older swimmer wishing to have specific training with either open water or Masters competitions etc.

15 Water Polo No changes other than subject to confirmation with Crown Pools that every Sunday pm will be at Deben for the players. Plans for next season to include gaining access to more pool time to ensure we have the correct pathway for them to achieve.

18 Other changes Club Champs – moving – why? Open Meet – Regional times 2011 Fixtures – Once a month and relevant to squad – one team in summer league & 2 in winter – joining EJSL Time trials – for counties that need those swims Land training will be stopped if numbers don’t improve!
