3 CYO PHILOSOPHY Opportunity for youth to participate in activities under conditions that are safe, enjoyable, and promote Christian attitudes of fair play and cooperation. Goal is for athletes to feel good about themselves, respect others, accept responsibilities, strive for excellence, improve skills, have fun and look forward to future participation in sports Athlete first, winning second! 4 DIVISIONS Roadrunners – 3 rd and 4 th grade Cubs – 5 th and 6 th grade Cadets – 7 th and 8 th grade Roadrunners – 3 rd and 4 th grade Cubs – 5 th and 6 th grade Cadets – 7 th and 8 th grade

7 MEETS Developmental Meets: 8:30 AM – Sites TBD Sat 4/13, Sat 4/20, Sat 4/27, Sat 5/4 Roadrunner Championships (3 rd and 4 th grade only) – Sat May 11 – 8:30 AM La Salle Prep CYO Meet of Champions (qualifying 5 th – 8 th graders) – Sat May 18 at 9:00am and Sun May 19 at 1:00pm – Jesuit High School Athletes choose own events except for Championship meets No Dogs allowed at meets! 11 WHAT TO BRING TO PRACTICE Running shoes/clothes Dress in layers – Dri-fit clothes are better than cotton. Prepare for cold and wet weather – Practice and meets are rain or shine! 12 SAFETY Athletes to stay off high jump/pole vault mats at Sunset – Remember, we are guests at this facility. Talk with your athlete about track awareness – They need to pay attention to what is going on around them and on the track.
